About iloveblr.com

iloveblr is short for I Love BLR. Also written as I Love Bengaluru, I Love Bangalore, Namma Bengaluru, I ❤️ BLR. BLR is the airport code that became the city's identity.

Made in BLR. Useful anywhere. An independent platform built around Bengaluru's neighbourhoods — and used by residents, relocators, NRIs and businesses across India and abroad.

Who Runs iloveblr.com

iloveblr.com is operated by the iloveblr team — a small, independent team based in Bengaluru. The team builds and maintains the platform, reviews listings, maintains the BMTC route directory, moderates chat, and answers enquiries. Editorial decisions, category design and the review and moderation processes described on this page are all handled directly by the team — not outsourced, and not left to automation alone.

We do not publish founder or director details. The platform is presented under the iloveblr name as an independent community project. For our full independence statement — including non-affiliation with the "I ❤️ BLR" civic installations and third-party brands — see §8.

What iloveblr.com Is

iloveblr.com is a Bengaluru-focused classifieds and city-utility portal. Every listing originates from Bengaluru, so information stays geographically accurate — a rental in Electronic City is listed under that locality, a job in Whitefield originates from Whitefield, and a second-hand listing in Koramangala is physically in Koramangala.

The platform covers six categories:

  • Second-hand goods — mobiles, laptops, furniture, books and appliances across neighbourhoods such as Marathahalli, Whitefield, Koramangala, Jayanagar and HSR Layout.
  • Property and rentals — owner-posted flats, rooms, PG accommodation, shops and workspaces. Listings are tagged to their stated locality; brokerage claims, ownership and property documents are not independently verified.
  • Jobs — company-direct postings across roles and neighbourhoods. We do not verify the legitimacy of employers; no legitimate employer should ask a candidate for a fee.
  • Vehicles — owner-posted second-hand bikes and cars. RC, insurance and hypothecation status must be verified by the buyer on the Parivahan portal before payment.
  • Local services — home maintenance and neighbourhood services, mapped by stated service area.
  • Events — meetups, workshops, cultural programmes and flea markets across the city.

Every listing above is an advertisement posted by a user. iloveblr does not sell, own, ship, inspect or warrant any product, service, property or job, and all negotiations, payments, delivery and refunds are directly between users. See our Safety Guide for how to verify before transacting.

Why Bengaluru-First Works Worldwide

Listings originate from Bengaluru, but the need for locality-accurate information is global. Job seekers from Delhi, Hyderabad or the USA look for company-direct jobs in Whitefield. Families search PG in BTM Layout for a child relocating. NRIs compare flats in HSR Layout or Whitefield. Visitors plan events in Koramangala. Newcomers learn BMTC routes from Majestic to Electronic City.

The same locality filters work whether you are searching from Bengaluru, Mumbai, Dubai or New York. Depth in one city is what makes the data useful — not aggregation across many.

BMTC Bus-Route Directory

The platform operates a searchable directory of 7,100+ BMTC route records and bus-stop information covering the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation network. The search supports origin-destination queries — Majestic to Whitefield, Electronic City to Koramangala — and displays contextual information around each stop: nearby taxi and auto stands, shops, cafés, malls, metro connectivity, peak-hour crowd levels, timings and bus numbers.

How the directory is maintained

Route records are compiled from publicly available BMTC route information and maintained by the team as an independent reference directory. Records are updated when inaccuracies are reported or when a discrepancy is identified during routine checks. Real-time route changes, temporary diversions and live service alerts are not tracked. The directory is an independent resource, not an official BMTC service.

Reporting a route error

If a route, stop name, timing or detail is incorrect, email hello@iloveblr.com with the route number, stop name and correction. Corrections are applied on a best-effort basis.

How Listings Are Reviewed

Every advertisement is reviewed before publication. The process combines three layers:

  • Account authentication: Posting requires Google OAuth sign-in. This confirms a valid Google account exists behind the user. It does not establish a legal identity, prove ownership of an item, or confirm the accuracy of a listing.
  • Mobile OTP verification: A mobile number must be verified via OTP, a verification call, or an email confirmation link before an ad goes live. This confirms reachability — not ownership, solvency, or good faith.
  • Automated and manual content review: All submissions are screened by automated checks (technical detail in §6) before publication. Content flagged by these checks may undergo manual review, and we may request additional information before approving or retaining a listing.

What approval means: a listing passed the applicable review process. It does not guarantee that every claim is true, that the seller is trustworthy, or that the product, property, job or offer is genuine and legally compliant. Full detail: Safety Guide §3 and Terms & Conditions §8.

How We Protect the Platform

Because a classifieds platform is a common target for automated abuse, we combine defensive layers at the gateway, the browser, the server and the media pipeline. These are operational measures, not guarantees — no system prevents every attack.

  • Perimeter edge defence (anti-bot): We deploy Cloudflare Turnstile in invisible mode to evaluate behavioural signals and network telemetry. This layer silently identifies and halts headless automation scripts, web scrapers and malicious bot frameworks at the gateway before they can interact with our system core.
  • Dynamic frontend sanitisation: An integrated JavaScript verification library audits text inputs during creation. This custom engine parses telephone formats, detects link-stuffing variants, screens for blacklisted profanity and compares strings against active offensive-keyword dictionaries.
  • Server-side honeypots and PHP validation: To block advanced bots that bypass browser execution, our PHP core controller uses CSS-masked, invisible honeypot form fields. If a bot interacts with these trap elements, the submission is silently dropped. The backend also enforces strict rate-limiting and query throttling per IP address.
  • Media and chat auditing: Uploaded ad images must pass automated asset-compliance filters before being rendered publicly. Peer-to-peer user messages pass through an asynchronous moderation queue that holds messages for screening against hidden phishing links, escrow-scam language and malicious URLs before delivery.

These layers reduce spam, fraud and abuse. They do not guarantee that no bad listing, message or actor will ever reach the platform. Users should still apply the checks described in our Safety Guide.

Our Standards and Accountability

The procedures described above — the listing review process (§5), the platform protection layers (§6), and the BMTC directory maintenance (§4) — are the standards we hold ourselves to. We publish them openly so users can see exactly what we check and what we don't.

No process is perfect. Automated checks miss things, manual review has human limits, and directory data can go out of date. Where we cannot verify something, we say so — and §5 explains what approval does and does not guarantee.

If a listing, route record, moderation decision or any statement on this page seems wrong, contact us (see §9). Corrections are treated as grievances: acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days under the IT Act, 2000.

Our Name and Our Independence

"I LOVE BLR" expresses affection for Bengaluru and its people. The name is also used in connection with civic and cultural installations around the city — at KIA Airport, MG Road Metro Art Center, VR Bengaluru Whitefield, Church Street, Cubbon Park and Lalbagh. Those installations are owned and operated by their respective authorities, including BBMP, BIAL, BMRCL, DULT, Brigade Foundation and Karnataka Tourism.

iloveblr.com is an independent digital platform. We do not claim to operate, sponsor, or be affiliated with those installations or with any of the public authorities and organisations associated with them. We claim no exclusive trademark right over the "I Love BLR" phrase in relation to them.

iloveblr owns no right, title or interest in any third-party brand name, logo or trademark appearing in user listings — vehicles, mobiles, electronics, appliances and other branded goods. Those marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify genuine products. We hold no dealership, reseller or authorised-service rights over any brand.
