Hoskote Bus Stand (also spelled Hosakote) is the main bus terminus for Hoskote town, the taluk headquarters of Hoskote taluk in Bengaluru Rural district, on Old Madras Road (NH 75) about 25 km east of central Bengaluru. It handles BMTC buses from Majestic, KR Market, Shivajinagar, KR Puram and Whitefield, plus KSRTC services towards Kolar, Chintamani, Mulbagal and the Andhra Pradesh border. Hoskote is a historic market town on the old Bangalore–Madras highway, known for its large APMC vegetable market, the Hoskote Lake (a major birdwatching spot), and the surrounding industrial belt with KIADB industrial areas at Hoskote and Vemgal. There is no metro station at Hoskote — the nearest operational Namma Metro is KR Pura on the Purple Line, about 20 km west. The upcoming Blue Line (Silk Board–KIA) does not reach Hoskote; no committed metro extension serves the town as of 2026. The surrounding area is a mix of residential layouts, agricultural land, highway commercial strips and industrial units.
